Israel Markovitz, one of the firm’s founding partners, specializes in both civil and commercial litigation, with vast experience of over 20 years, in representing clients before various tribunals, including mediation and arbitration procedures.

Adv. Markovitz specializes in complicated and complex litigation cases in a wide range of legal areas. His particular specialization and vast experience is in class actions suits, derivative action cases, and business and inheritance disputes.

Adv. Markovitz began his legal career as an intern in Israel’s Supreme Court under the supervision of Hon. Justice Menachem Ilan. Following this, he was an intern in the office of Adv. Hanan Melcer (who later became a judge and Deputy President of the Israel's Supreme Court).  Simultaneously, Adv. Markovitz was a teaching assistant in several courses in family law and Jewish law, to students studying for their second degree in law, at the Law Faculty, Bar-Ilan University.

After successfully completing his internship, Adv. Markovitz joined the public sector as an attorney in the Economic Department in the State Attorney’s Office in Jerusalem, where he gained vast experience in managing and prosecuting “white collar” crimes cases, as well as gaining experience in accompanying the investigation procedure.

After more than eight years, Adv. Markovitz left the State Attorney’s Office as a Senior Deputy to the State Attorney.

During 2008, Adv. Markovitz joined the private sector as an attorney, and later as a partner in the Litigation Department of a leading Israeli law firm, Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co. Over the next decade, Adv. Markovitz successfully represented clients in complicated precedential civil and commercial cases. As such, Adv. Markovitz represented and advised both private and public companies, including some of the largest in the Israeli market, in the fields of insurance, banking, construction, communications, vehicles and energy.

Adv. Markovitz has LL.B. and LL.M.  (Magna Cum Laude) from the Faculty of Law, Bar-Ilan University (1998), in addition to a MBA, with specialization in financial and accounting, from the Department of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University (2006).

Advocate Markovitz has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 1999.

Adv. Gil Idan, one of the firm’s founding partners, has wide knowledge and rich experience in the fields of civil and commercial law, as well as civil and commercial litigation. In addition, Adv. Gil Idan has unique experience in settling disputes through arbitration, mediation and conciliation.

Adv. Idan began his legal career in 2002 as a pre-intern, and later as an intern in a leading Israeli law firm, Shenhav, Elrom, Konforti, Shavit & Co. After completing his internship, Adv. Idan joined this law firm as an attorney, and later became a senior attorney.  In 2011 he established Gil Idan-Law Office.

Adv. Idan has vast experience in conducting a wide range of legal claims and administrative cases. His expertise includes torts and insurance claims, commercial contractual claims, professional liability claims, claims of negligence against professionals, disputes amongst shareholders or partners and control struggles, derivative claimants, class  action,  labor law claims ,financial disputes within the family, administrative petitions, insolvency proceedings, dealing with the writ of execution, and claims in the field of planning and construction.

In addition, Adv. Idan has more than 15 years experience in the field of civil commercial law, including ongoing consultation to some of  Israel’s  leading companies in the field of corporate law (including the establishment of corporations, partnerships, cooperative companies and associations, founders’ agreements and shareholders' agreements), labor laws ,tender laws (relating to both private  and government tenders), agreements between contractors, suppliers and clients, management agreements, distribution agreements, representation and franchise, outsourcing agreements and real estate transactions.

Adv. Idan has a LL.B from the Faculty of Law, Bar-Ilan University (2004), and a B.A. in Logistics and Economics from Bar-Ilan University (2003).

Adv. Idan has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2004.
